Council Events No Michigan Land Use Leadership Council events have been scheduled at this time. Past Council Events Council Meetings All council meetings (unless otherwise noted) were held at the Senate Committee Hearing Room in the Boji Tower (formerly Michigan National Tower), at 124 W. Allegan Street, Lansing, MI. The council formally adopted protocol for operations of the meetings.

Henry Center for Executive Development, MSU **August 3 meeting held at the Farm Bureau Center, Lansing In April 2003, the council held six formal public hearings at locations across the state: Marquette, Gaylord, Lansing, Grand Rapids, Detroit, and Pontiac. At each location, there were two sessions: 3:00 to 5:00 PM and 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Members of the council were present at each of the hearings. In total, 674 persons attended the public hearings (with 398 providing oral testimony). Summary Reports Public comment played an important role in the council deliberations. All council meetings were open to the public and the first five meetings presented opportunities for the public to provide verbal comments. In addition, the council receieved written public comment via the online comment form, mail, fax, and e-mail. More than 1,330 written comments were recieved as well as over 11,000 postcards collected in an advocacy campaign. The written and verbal public comments were complied and summarized by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. The following four summary reports were presented to the council.
